City Council has approved a series of Official Plan amendments aimed at increasing the local housing supply by integrating small-scale residential intensification within existing neighbourhoods without the need for planning approvals. These changes will permit any type of residential home or building on most residential lots so long as it conforms to the building envelope created through a set of performance standards.
